WEEK 32 - 23/2/12 - PRIDE

"Through pride we are ever deceiving ourselves. But deep down below the surface of the average conscience a still, small voice says to us, something is out of tune." — Carl Gustav Jung
- LORENA -
it looks like an easy and tempting pill to take, but your senses and your guts are warning you, playing with it will poison you, and taking it will kill you.
- DAPHNE -

WEEK 31 - 16/2/12 - PRIDE

"Pride gets no pleasure out of having something, only out of having more of it than the next man... It is the comparison that makes you proud: the pleasure of being above the rest. Once the element of competition is gone, pride is gone" — C.S. Lewis (Mere Christianity)
- LORENA -
A choker made out of mirrors, it dazzles, fragments, and deforms the reflection of the viewer... but at the same time it's tight, cold, sharp, uncomfortable, there's no personal pleasure when wearing it, it's not even possible for the wearer to enjoy its shine... nothing but a show off.
- DAPHNE -

WEEK 30 - 9/2/12 - PRIDE

"I am done with great things and big plans, great institutions and big success. I am for those tiny, invisible loving human forces that work from individual to individual, creeping through the crannies of the world like so many rootlets, or like the capillary oozing of water, which, if given time, will rend the hardest monuments of pride." — William James
- LORENA -
A praise to the most fragil thing, the one that keeps everything standing.
- DAPHNE -

"He who imagines he can do without the world deceives himself much; but he who fancies the world cannot do without him is still more mistaken." — François de La Rochefoucauld
- LORENA -
I think about dinosaurs, no matter how big, or strong, or fierce, everything is fragile, everything is dispensable.
- DAPHNE -
