WEEK 31 - 16/2/12 - PRIDE

"Pride gets no pleasure out of having something, only out of having more of it than the next man... It is the comparison that makes you proud: the pleasure of being above the rest. Once the element of competition is gone, pride is gone" — C.S. Lewis (Mere Christianity)
- LORENA -
A choker made out of mirrors, it dazzles, fragments, and deforms the reflection of the viewer... but at the same time it's tight, cold, sharp, uncomfortable, there's no personal pleasure when wearing it, it's not even possible for the wearer to enjoy its shine... nothing but a show off.
- DAPHNE -
we frame the things we posses, and even words and thoughts. we show them off and intimidate others. this object is a frame without a backdrop. a blank canvas which has no intention to compare.
